I am a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, finishing my PhD in Engineering Psychology.
Many people often ask me what an engineering psychologist does. My answer is that I study how people interact with technology, focusing on ways of evaluating users’ abilities, limitations, expectations, and overall experience. This teaches us a lot about how to improve current technology and how to better design future technologies with which humans will interact.
Much of my current research takes place in the intersection of Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), and Accessibility.
